With over 15 years of experience in physiotherapeutic and remedial care, Ernest Butler brings a broad spectrum of expertise to his work with athletes of all levels – from ambitious recreational sports to international elite sport. As a sports physiotherapist, he was responsible for the ALBA Berlin professional basketball team and looked after the A squad of the women’s national basketball team at major international events such as the European Championships, the Olympic qualifiers and the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

He began his career with classical training as a masseur and medical bath attendant, followed by physiotherapy and numerous further training courses in areas such as manual therapy, chiropractic, osteopathy, musculoskeletal ultrasound and biostatics. He is also a qualified alternative practitioner and has additional qualifications in neural therapy and medical Qi Gong.

Ernest not only has a deep understanding of the physical demands of sport, but also an exceptional empathy when dealing with patients. Colleagues describe him as an energetic, helpful team player with a high level of commitment and a keen sense of interpersonal dynamics – qualities that make him a valued part of any medical care team. He lives his passion for sport not only professionally, but also privately – as an active basketball player, fitness enthusiast and sports fan with a special interest in functional movement and holistic health.
