Dr. med. Thomas Stoffels
Specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery and sports medicine Focussed on knee and shoulder surgery

“Being an active athlete myself, I know how crucial it is not just to heal the body, but to take it to the next level – and that’s exactly what I’m passionate about doing for my patients.”
Dr. Thomas Stoffels combines his passion for sports with medical expertise. His clinical training took place at the ENDO Clinic and AK St. Georg in Hamburg, and he served as a specialist and senior physician at Berlin Accident Hospital. As a long-standing team doctor for the German junior national field hockey team, he knows firsthand what it means to return to performance quickly and safely after an injury. This experience shapes his approach to treatment, whether it involves maintaining mobility, enhancing performance, or treating injuries in a targeted manner.
Dr. Stoffels specializes in reconstructive surgery of the knee and shoulder joints. He is a certified knee surgeon with the German Knee Society and the AGA. Within the German Knee Society, he helped develop the rehabilitation and prevention program STOP-X and served as co-chair of the Ligament Injuries Committee for several years.
